🗺️ The power of a map
A map has several advantages:
- It shows what we know,
- it shows what we don't know,
- it guides us.

A map must be relevant
If a map doesn't offer these advantages, it means it's not relevant to the subject. For example, a map that's too large or too detailed won't help us understand a nuance within a tiny subsystem.
Examples in work
- Standards: a written understanding of the best way to make something,
- MIFD: Material and Information Flow Diagram and its Analysis is a way to perceive the complexity of: what's being produced and what triggers this production.
